what did i do this weekend?

went to temple square and saw the joseph smith movie with someone handsome.

took photos of the temple (thanks iPhone)

went to my cousins LEGO themed birthday party (so fun)

went to the movie The Woman In Black.

i woke up this morning and had to check my room before i left because i'm paranoid she's in there.

it's a creepy/jumpy movie.

i also cut bangs saturday night before the movie.

i don't know what possessed me to do it - i even took my scissors to the movie theater incase andi (my main hair lady) wanted to fix them.

well, i had a scary episode filled with a real-life migraine.  never had a true migraine before and this one put me out of commission. yowzah.


here's some snapshots of what i've been up to:

my friends and I went to the LADY A concert on Valentines day last week.

it was totes the best concert i've ever been to in my existence.

i loved every minute of it!

i just realized i have lots of photos of food up in hurrrrrr.

i've been eating a lot of good food.

(yes, i made that wedge salad. yum)

oh, and i've been working a lot too.

i am obsessed with my native american inspired earrings.

life is goin good for this girl.

we went to dinner over the weekend and showed up wearing the same shirt.

i love these girls.  we went to the jazz game for a birthday.

we have the best of times.

we dine on thai food together. best.

we wear matching color schemes sometimes.

we pretend we're taller than each other (linds. love you. yowzah)

sometimes we do each others makeup and go out on the town.

and we giggle and take a gazillion photos of ourselves.

i love my friends.

i am so thankful for them today.

calling for help.

calling all readers of All Things Ashley.

my brother, Allen, is planning on going to Uganda this summer as a volunteer.

he is going to be traveling there to serve the children in need.

he is going through Help-International.

 

it's a non-profit organization that helps enable people to overcome poverty within their country.

my brother, Allen, is needing to raise money to cover his personal costs to travel over there.  the cost covers his costs as well as donating to the people of Uganda. 

 

i am asking for help from those readers who are able to donate any small amount (hey, i donated today! woo hoo)

garbage dump

dear journal,


i feel like a garbage dump tonight.
really, i do.
and i am not ok with this.


i love to travel, but i hate the 'hangover' that accompanies all the traveling.
jet lag. (no bueno)
eating out (no bueno)
lack of exercise (no bueno)
loss of sleep (no bueno)


you get the point.  
i returned from a week-long trip and i am pooped.
i am taking a 3 day weekend because i feel exhausted.
i feel like there's so much to catch up on, ya know?


but i also love the feeling of coming 'home'
to the place where i belong and feel happiest.
there's something about the smell of my car.
feeling the happiness from roommates as i'm greeted home.
sleeping on my own couch.
walking around my own house with my shoes off (i hate hotel rooms...yuck)


so, this journal entry is pretty much pointless i realized.
i am just going off about how tired i am and complaining.
but sometimes, i have to vent and let it all out...so i can get back to my normal happy-self.
(at least i think i'm a happy person...haha - jokes on me)


in happier news...it's the weekend tomorrow and i am ready to relax with the ladies.


(and some gents maybe...but don't get me started on that.  i feel like my love life has come to a sudden halt and i have no motivation to put myself out there right now...eeek.)


i was supposed to do something with this cutie (i've coined that phrase btw - if you spend a day with me, cutie will become the foundation of your vocab) but he is terrible at getting back with me, i've been out of town, and i don't want to make the first move here.

well, it's 'late' and i have a busy day ahead...
gym, getting a massage, sleeping in, laundry...i might barely make it out with my life tomorrow.  yowzah.
