Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the mind of pretenders.
While chasin' the clouds away
my dear friend Allie can appreciate this song. we used to sing it TONS, but mainly just in September. duh!
I love Earth, Wind, and Fire dearly. This is such a great feel-good song!

"time's flying by, moving so fast
you better make it count cause you can't get it back"
(random, but i just love this line from a song. shocker, eh? that i would quote a song! *gasp*)
lately i've become a work-a-holic. literally. all i do is work, work, work. it's my new addiction.
don't get me wrong, i LOVE my job (now I have an internship to go to as well) but life has just been insanely busy!
I am now interning at the best dental office in the entire world. the doctors are great, the girls I get to work with and learn from are wonderful, and I am so blessed to be there.
i guess you could say I am just ONE HAPPY GIRL right now.
life is busy, but i love it this way.
i am so blessed to be where I am at, at this very moment in time.
I'm blessed beyond measure.
life is bliss.
it truly is.
and guess what, I am even getting my running in this week along with all of the work that's been going on!
go me.
i feel accomplished too.
i even start guitar lessons next week, which i am thrilled about.
life couldn't get any sweeter for me. could it?
you better make it count cause you can't get it back"

"Mediocricy will never do. You are capable of something better"

words of wisdom from a prophet of God:
President Gordon B. Hinckley
"Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great purpose in heart."
"try a little harder to be a little better"
"Mediocricy will never do. You are capable of something better"
"if life gets too hard to stand, kneel."
"you have not failed until you quit trying"
"Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others...By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves."
"Be grateful, be smart, be clean, be true, be humble, be prayerful."
"Let us never forget to pray. God lives. He is near. He is real. He is not only aware of us but cares for us. He is our Father. He is accessible to all who will seek Him."
"You can be smart and happy or stupid and miserable...its your choice"
"When I say do your best, I mean your very best. You are capable of so much more."

it's been a long night in salt lake city

John mayer.
nuff said.
John came to West Valley City on August 31, 2010.
My first impression: what is this guy doing?! John came out onto the stage and he was staggering, swaying, and slurring his speech a little bit. Maybe he took his own advice from his song and did a little "red wine and ambien"...
ya think?
anyway, he came out and started the concert off with one of my FAVORITE songs, "Vultures"
as soon as the music started I was in a trance. This truly was an incredible concert. John is an amazing guitar player. He had about 5 different guitars that he played on throughout the night!
He played some amazing songs:
{ Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay/Why Georgia? }
{ Slow Dancing In a Burning Room }
{ Gravity }
{ Edge of Desire }
{ Half of my Heart }
{ Perfectly Lonely }
{ St. Patricks Day }
{ Who Say? }
{ Vultures }
{ Can't Find My Way Home }
{ Heartbreak Warfare }
{ Do You Know Me}
{ Don't Stop Belivin' (Journey Cover) }
"Info-tainment": "I WANT NAMES"
This was one my favorite things! John's advice for the evening..."just ask for names...there are no names"
I loved this concert! It was amazing. Next time John comes to town, I'm goin!
