total {ECLIPSE} of the heart

Soooooo, I succumbed to the ways to Twilight and I went to the midnight showing of Eclipse last night! And guess what?

I LOVED IT!

It was mediocre acting, but the movie followed the book pretty accurately (as accurate as a book turned movie can be), and the best part?

JACOB BLACK

I wish I saw this face at the gym this morning....mmmm he is HOT STUFF BABY!!!!

We were sitting in the theater just chatting away and Ash turned to me and was like, "Why are there two guys standing down there in the front of the theater?!" It was the funniest thing I heard all night! :)

Of COURSE we had to buy Eclipse cups with our favorite team player!

I'll Never Break Your Heart

36094_1469796035761_1559400041_1178251_2503033_n

I love these Boys...the BACKSTREET BOYS!

I've loved them since I was 9 years old! I have all of their Cd's. I listened to them constantly (still do). I have a video from Jive (their record company) that gave full bio information about each guy. I still remember, Nick's favorite food: pizza! :)
Oh, and Brian Littrell has a heart condition. Kevin was Aladdin for awhile at MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida. And guess what, I MET HIM! I really did, but I was like 6 at the time and had NO clue that he would become one of my dream men in the years to come!

Enough background, let's get to the photos!

Ashley, Allie, Christine, and I all went to their concert this past week! We had such a good time singing and dancing :) (thanks Ash for the photos I stole off of your facebook!)

externship. what does that even mean?!

So, I have some EXCITING NEWS!!!!!
No, no I'm not engaged...so if you're that disappointed, stop reading!

I am ELIGIBLE TO GO OUT ON MY EXTERNSHIP!
Why an externship and not an internship you ask?

ex·tern·ship   /ˈɛkstɜrnˌʃɪp/ Show Spelled[ek-sturn-ship] Show IPA
–noun
a required period of supervised practice done off campus or away from one's affiliated institution: The young doctor served six months of externship at a nearby clinic.

It's basically like an internship, but I don't get paid for it! Anyhow, I am so thrilled to be able to start my clinical hours. The sooner I get the 300 hours out of the way, the better!!

Soooo, if you know of any dentists that are needing help, let me know!

Brandon.
Flowers.
B-Flow.

Brandon, lead singer of {the killers}

Can this man get any more brilliant? I daresay not. I love me some {killers}
but more importantly, I love Brandon Flowers.

One time I even went on a blind date with a guy who was B-Flows friend. Pretty cool, eh?

I mean, just look at him. In his scrawny, metro-y, eye-liner wearing goodness. He can actually get away with wearing eyeliner. And that jacket he wore in the music video for HUMAN, the one below, with the feathers. So hot! I am sorry, but he is adorable/handsome/creepy/eccentric/outspoken/soft/calm all in one person. He is probably one of the most awesome, yeah that's right, AWESOME singers of his time {GOODNESS}{GRACIOUS} Oh, and did I mention he grew up in the good old Beehive state? Yes folks, B-Flow grew up in Nephi. Makes him even MORE awesome!

I'm going to tell you what my top 10 favorite {killers} songs of all time are (in case you really cared)

in no particular order we have:

1) Romeo and Juliet
2) Believe Me, Natalie
3) Joy Ride
4) When You Were Young
5) Neon Tiger
6) Everything Will Be Alright
7) On Top
8) Human
9) The World We Live In
10) Jenny Was a Friend of Mine

oh yeah, and {This is Your Life}

Brandon is releasing a solo album sometime in 2010 called Flamingo.
I'll be pre-ordering it on iTunes.

I have been experimenting and this is what I came up with!

This is a 3/4 sleeve cotton-spandex blend t-shirt. The shirt has a silk ribbon in a ruffle pattern around the neckline (it's a scoop neckline) and it has little itty bitty pearls to accent the neckline.

This shirt comes in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra-Large. The cost: $25.00 (not including shipping)

If you're interested leave me a comment or email me: ashley.warner88@gmail.com

I apologize in advance for the horrible photos, my camera is broken so I had to make due with my camera phone. Better photos to come!

THANKS!

{rejuvenation}

Sometimes.
I feel like I am going 100 mph.
I feel like the world is spinning.
I feel lost.
I wonder who I really am.
I wonder what I am doing on this earth.
I feel a loss for words.

I feel.
Sad.
Down.
Angry.
Anxious.
Curious.
Nostalgic.

Its times like this that I just want to escape. That I need to breakaway from the world for a little bit. To be alone. To hear nothing but my own thoughts. To contemplate what's going on in my life, what I am doing, where I am going.

In times like this I am extremely grateful for the gorgeous backyard that is mine. The Hobblecreek Canyon.

One of my favorite things to do is drive. Drive without having to be somewhere. Drive without an agenda. To explore. To wander. To get lost. To breathe in the smells of nature. To listen to the gentle water rushing past me. To close my eyes and feel as if the sunshine was rejuvenating my entire being. That the sun is flooding my entire body with warmth that will last until the next time I need to getaway.

There is something wonderful about the great outdoors. There is a spirit, if you will, about nature.

Purity.
Warmth.
Love.

I drove to my favorite spot up the canyon, rolled down the windows, closed my eyes, and listened.

The gentle wind rustling the leaves on the trees.
The smell of the mountains in my nostrils.
The buzzing of some bumblebees in the trees nearby.
The rushing river going by.

I just soaked it all in. I don't know how long I sat there, but I didn't care. This was Ashley time, and by golly, I was going to enjoy it. I pulled out my Book of Mormon (www.lds.org) and began to read from the book of Nephi. I was filled with peace. My cares and worries subsided. I felt peace. Joy. And an outpouring of love. There is something gloriously wonderful about the mountains. It's a little piece of heaven, in my book. I've heard it said that God often speaks to those who will listen for His voice. Sometimes you can hear it louder than others, but there's something about the mountains. God's voice is in abundance in nature.

opal dam

No no, I'm not swearing. I am not that upset today. Infact, today has been a great Monday! But that's beside the point. You wanna know what an OPAL DAM is, huh?

Well, today in class we got to practice doing opal dams on each other.
An opal dam is a protective barrier for a patients gums when they come into the dental office and undergo an extremely intense bleach session. We've gotta protect the soft gingival tissues somehow, right?

So I was able to do this little procedure on TaeCee. I told her after it was cured that her gums looked like Edward Cullens glistening/sparkly skin.
SPARKLY....see!!

I love teeth, and I love what I am doing with my life right now. Yeah, my life pretty much rocks!!
