girls night

this weekend was pretty much a blast! 

for one, it was a three day weekend, hellooooo!

I got a new job (#3...)

went out with some friends

got a new church calling

and i got to spend time with my family

for now, imma blog about GIRLS NIGHT

*on our drive home we met some sweet dudes, and took a photo*

we made a delish s'mores and roasted

starbursts over this little "flame"

we even played this fun little game, "What's a Dame to do?!"
this is the BEST game I've ever played.  hands down.

the girls and I played this game.

we laughed the entire 2 hours we played.

my stomach hurt so bad that night.

i think i have permanent wrinkle lines now.

i highly suggest playing this game.

you know that i love me some scary movies.
but i must say, this show is HILARIOUS.


it's not even that scary...but I think you should watch it.

last night i went to a showing of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

{perfectly lonely}

i have a confession.
i went on a date over the weekend.
it was a lot of fun and i enjoyed myself.

what's the problem you ask?
i'm perfectly fine with being a single lady. 
as my dear john says,

"I'm perfectly lonely cause
I don't belong to anyone. 

no one belongs to me."

I am not sure as to how i got to this place. 
i love being single. 
 yet, i want to have a cute bf who brings me flowers.  who takes me out. who spoils me.

i guess maybe the guy i went out with over the weekend just was NOT my type.
we had great conversation.
i giggled a LOT.
our arms brushed each others.
but there wasn't a *spark* for me.

i guess you can't force it....

shakeology pt. 1

ok people, you asked for it!  I've officially been drinking the SHAKEOLOGY for two whole days now...


last night I drank it for dinner around 5:00 PM (which is TOO early for dinner I think...) so I was feeling super hungry around 9:00ish so I had myself a bowl of greek yogurt with fresh strawberries and some pecans on top.  (that is my new favorite treat by the way)

this morning I made myself a shake for breakfast and I am feeling great. 
I have noticed that I am not having cravings.  weird?  maybe...
i have a TON of energy (hello gym session EVERY SINGLE DAY THIS WEEK...booyah!)

i have been on one of my health kicks and I heard about this from my friend Debbie last weekend.  She is a marathon runner and told me its the best thing she's ever bought (supplement wise).

"like a trip to the salad bar, with 5 plates - but in one glass"

I am sort of nervous/excited to try this meal replacement drink.  I bought the chocolate flavor (because, hey who doesn't like chocolate) and I have my almond milk to mix in with this.

I don't get all of my nutrition that I need throughout the day, so I thought what a great what to do so.

I'm gonna be completely honest.  It's been MONTHS since I've worked out with this machine...but I went last night and I killed about 39 ish minutes on this bad boy.  I am sore from ab to toe.  This is the best workout you can get.  Trust me.  I LOVE this machine.  We are pretty good pals, and it keeps me in shape (besides ROUND that is)

I'm feelin good.  I have started yet ANOTHER strict workout routine.  And trust me, I am going to be keepin ya'll informed.  I need to have some "support" so I figure if I post some before and after photos and chart my progress that it'll help keep me motivated.  (I hope I don't scare anyone)

I also wanted to share a sneak peak of a senior photo shoot from earlier this week.

this is my favorite soup ever.
plus, its HOMEMADE to boot

thanks are in order...

today was an incredible day.

i layed in bed until, ohhhh about 9:45 this morning (that's sleeping in for me!)

then I woke up and paroozed on over to McDonald's for a lovely

breakfast with my momma (she said it was HER weekend and she wanted to go)

afterwards, I went and ran some errands and I picked up her fabulous cake that I ordered

from THE CHOCOLATE for Mother's Day.

i then went to an old friends reception.

it was so great because another old friend and I went together.

I haven't seen her in a years time.

how can I be so dumb to let the time slip away?

we also hit up Zupas and chowed down some yummy pannini's and salads.

we chatted.

chatted.

chatted.

oh yeah, and laughed. a lot.

you see, it's great friendships like ours that make me so happy.

its been over a year since we've seen each other, but it feels like

we haven't missed a day apart.

spa day

i've been under the weather the past few days and i decided that enough was enough today.
i called Primrose Retreat and scheduled myself a little FACIAL.
they got me in pretty quick and I had my first facial ever.

HEAVENLY.
that's the only word I can use to describe my experience.
They had me change into a fabulous robe and gave me some cute slippers.

then i waited in the 'relaxation room' for my facial to begin.
i was taken back and the facial started.

it was amazingggggggg

after the facial i went and sat in the infra-red relaxation room on a hammock (it was fabulous.  there was REAL sand and I felt like I was on the beach)

afterwards, i went straight to the steam room.  it was also AMAZING.

i think i am going to be going back pretty soon.


sometimes a girls gotta just treat herself to a GIRLS DAY at the Spa. 
It was the R&R that I needed.

as I was driving to get my 32 oz. cherry coke (mmm delish) this song came on the radio, on my country radio station nonetheless, I heard this song by Miss Carrie Underwood "Temporary Home"

The last part of the lyrics about the old man reminded me of my grandpa and the tears just started flowing.  Take the 5:01 minutes out of your day to listen to this song.
Life is too short to not embrace the ones you love, take a minute to help others out, or to be kind to a complete stranger.
