Hi!  My name is

Lauren and I blog over at Lemon Trees and Bumble Bees. I’m super excited to be

posting here today because clearly I absolutely love Ashley’s blog and it means I’m lucky enough to be

talking to all of her lovely readers today too!  I hope you will all come by my blog later on

and say hello :)

I started blogging at the beginning of this year and have

absolutely fallen head over heels for the blogging world.  I talk about a whole whack of things over

there but the subjects you’ll always be able to find me blabbing on about are

my husband D (he’s pretty darn cute), my awesome orange cat Mikko, and our

newlywed life (we got married 6 months ago!).

I’m loving being a wife and I think my husband is pretty cool.  Our wedding was the best day of my life and I

pretty much take any chance I can to talk about it. If you want to see what I

mean, head over here.  I have a whole

wedding A-Z recap thing going on. I’m a tad obsessed. I’m also in nursing

school so that tends to come up time and again. 

One thing you should know about me is that I’m Canadian,

which apparently in the blogging world is a little rare.  Any Canucks out there???  Hit me back you hosers! ;) Being Canadian

(eh!) I do love some typical Canadian things.  D and I definitely watch our fair share of

hockey. Go Habs!  Poutine may be one of

the greatest inventions ever. Fries, cheese AND gravy? Yes please! Beer is

awesome. I say eh. I say pop not soda. I love our four seasons. And I do go to

Tim Horton’s more than what’s necessary. Timbits anyone?  Typical “Canadian” things I don’t do…I’m not a

lumberjack, nor do I know one.  There are

no igloos around. I don’t eat moose meat. I don’t own a snow mobile, although

that could be fun!  And contrary to

popular belief, we do have a summer

and it gets hot and sunny and it’s awesome!  And I don’t know about you lovely ladies (and

gents!) but I am definitely ready for some summer.  The Great White North is pretty awesome if you

ask me and since there aren’t many of us out there, if you have any questions

about Canadians or Canada in general, send away!

Well that’s all I have to say today lovelies. Whew, that was a little long!  If you’ve

stuck with me through to the end, I think we’re definitely meant to be friends.  A huge thanks to Ashley for letting me share

some info about me and my Canadian ways. Hope to see some of you soon! I always

love new friends :)

weekend wars

so i am sorry i complained last friday.

i guess i did just what y'all told me to go and do.

i took some ME time this weekend.

the gal pals and i went on a weekend getaway

 to a pretty little place called PARK CITY

we stayed in a really sweet hotel with a sauna.

we got to sleep in.

there might have been lots of yummy treats.

a visit to old main street.

we even spotted Jeff Foxworthy walking down the street.

(random, i know...only the country folk will know who he is...)

(sorry, that's not meant to be offensive my dears, i'm country)

we ate really yummy food.

we stayed up really late.

we shopped a little TOO much.

we all bought a lot of clothes.

i spent too much money.

we laughed.

sang lots of 'sucio' music.

drank lots of cherry coke (or DC if that's your flava)

it was such a fun weekend.

i had a blast.

RE: INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications,which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 .

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NHL 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1 .

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.  What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.HTML and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed,Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour7.0 or Beer 6.1 . Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta .

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources).

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0 .

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7...
