DIY - antler necklace holder

i love deer.  really, i do.

i wanted to incorporate my love for deer into my home decor.
the inspiration? (see here)

items needed:
(project took about 30 minutes total to complete)

- antlers (we bought ours here)
- fake flowers (any craft store)
- spray paint
- acrylic brown/black paints
- hot glue gun

- first thing you need to do is spray paint the antlers an all over color
(i chose ivory because i really liked the creamy color more than a stark white)

- after letting the paint dry, i sprayed another coat of paint and let it dry again

- while your paint is drying, take the flowers off of the stems (be careful that your flowers don't fall apart....you may need to hot glue them around the base of the flowers before taking them off the stem)

- cut out small green felt circles to be the "base" of the flowers.

- hot glue the flowers to the felt circles

 - i then began to paint the antlers a color that i liked.  i mixed a few browns together, let them sit for a minute - then i wiped the paint off with a moist paper towel.
repeat this until you get the color of antlers that you desire.

- once the paint has dried, arrange your flowers how you want them to look in the center of the antlers

- hot glue the flowers to the center of the antlers (or however you want....)

and.....

VOILA

you have yourself a brand-spankin new necklace hanger
